I love smoothies and this one is great for helping you get a good night's sleep. I tend to add less liquid than I to my smoothies earlier in the day so I don't end up waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I also like to have this after dinner as a dessert if it's super thick it's like having soft serve or ice cream, but way healthier.

Tart cherries are great for sleep because they contain melatonin, the sleep hormone, and tryptophan, is a precursor to melatonin that we have to get from our diet. Tart cherries, are actually tart so I add either a banana or a date to it to add sweetness. Give it a try tonight.

Ingredients

½-1 cup of unsweetened non-dairy beverage

1 cup frozen tart cherries or 2 oz of tart cherry juice concentrate

1 banana or date

Optional: Stir in a scoop of Morphus Fiberus to your smoothie before you drink it to increase the fiber in your diet.

Directions

Place all the ingredients in the blender and process until smooth. Enjoy.
