Like Garlic, Sea Salt not only adds essential minerals to any meal, but it also enhances the flavor. This spice often gets a bad rap as it’s known to raise blood pressure. But when used in moderation, this tasty addition may reduce fluid retention and improve digestion.

Mushrooms are a quick and easy way to add a smidge of protein, a burst of flavor, and a sweet savoriness to any dish. These immune-boosting sprouts are chock full of selenium, a powerful antioxidant that spends his days fighting free radicals.  For this recipe, pick your favorite edible, soft, kitchen fungi, chop small, and sauté in a little olive oil before adding to the marinade below.

Ingredients:

½ cup olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)
1/4 cup chopped and cooked favorite mushroom
4 cloves chopped garlic
A few pinches of sea salt
8 or 16 oz mason jar with lid

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients into the mason jar and seal the lid on tight.
  2. Shake together until a magical mingling of flavors has been achieved. Marinade your veggies or meat for at least an hour with this tasty blend before grilling.
  3. Enjoy!
