Our community member Lisa Y. submitted her natural deodorant recipe that is gentle on your skin, make of clean ingredients, and keeps those body odors that become common in perimenopause and menopause under control.

Ingredients

1 part baking soda without aluminum

1 part cornstarch

2 parts coconut oil

A few drops of skin-safe essential oils (avoid citrus)

Directions

  1. Combine the baking soda and cornstarch well.
  2. Add softened coconut oil and the essential oils.
  3. Slowly stir with a metal spoon.
  4. Put in an airtight container like a mason jar.
  5. User a wood popsicle stick, a small spatula or your finger tips to apply a pea-sized amount.
